Getting to Greenport
By Car
If you’re visiting from the city, the main route is the Long Island Expressway/I-495 to Rt. 48. But watch out for traffic! Using a Greenport NYC car service is strongly recommended. If you plan to use a Westhampton to airport car service, keep in mind that Long Island MacArthur Airport (ISP / Islip) is the closest airport, but has fewer airlines and fewer direct flights. JFK and LaGuardia airport (LGA) are typically your best bet, unless you are traveling via Frontier or Southwest Airlines. Using a Westhampton limo service is typically much easier and more efficient (especially compared to choosing a Westhampton airport car rental. (Car rentals in Westhampton are limited, and it can be difficult to navigate Long island without knowledge of the area).
- Westhampton vs. Westhampton Beach: Both are distinct communities, each with their own vibe and things to do. Westhampton is more of a residential community with a smaller downtown area. Westhampton Beach has a more lively “beach town” atmosphere with a greater range of shops, restaurants and a boardwalk.
